FAQ
How do I book and pay for my session?
A signed contract and 50% retainer are required to reserve your session date. The remaining balance is due on or before your session day.
I accept cash, check, Venmo, PayPal, and Zelle for your convenience.
Dates are not secured until the retainer has been received.
If payments on your session are needed, please reach out. We can customize a payment plan that works best for you.
What should we wear?
The most important thing is that you feel comfortable and confident.
Neutral tones, soft textures, and coordinating (not matching) outfits photograph beautifully. I recommend choosing 2–3 complementary colors and building outfits around those tones.
Avoid:
• Large logos
• Neon colors
• Busy patterns
Once your session is booked, you’ll receive my Family Style Guide to help make planning simple and stress-free.
Where do sessions take place?
Most family sessions take place outdoors during golden hour for the most flattering light.
If you have a meaningful location in mind, I love incorporating places that matter to your family.
Can I order prints?
Absolutely. While all packages include digital images, professional prints and products are available directly through your online gallery.
I partner with professional print labs to offer high-quality prints, canvases, and photo books so your images can be enjoyed for years to come.
Do you travel for sessions?
Yes!
I’m happy to travel for photography sessions. However, any location beyond 20 miles from 44820 will incur a travel fee, which is charged per mile. The current mileage rate is $0.65 per mile (based on the IRS standard mileage rate) but may vary depending on location and travel requirements. Please contact me for a custom quote if your session is outside my standard travel range!
What if my kids don’t cooperate?
That’s completely normal — and expected.
Children don’t need to sit perfectly still or smile on command. Some of the most meaningful images come from candid laughter, movement, and real connection.
I keep sessions relaxed and playful so everyone can feel at ease. We’ll capture beautiful portraits — and the genuine moments in between.
Can we include extended family?
Extended family is welcome in the Classic Family Session.
If you’re planning a larger gathering, please let me know in advance so we can plan accordingly and make the most of your time together.
